Background

I grew up in the Highlands of Scotland, studied psychology at the University of Edinburgh, and then lived in London and SE England for 20 years, working as a journalist, adult education teacher and also working in publishing and in the voluntary sector.

I also worked for some time in marketing and sales in the financial sector. I now live in Inverness with my husband and three children. I have also lived and worked in France as a ski guide and ski instructor, and have a love of the outdoors.
